Hi!

What’s your name?

Hello

By bringing people together over coffee, Starbucks has become one of the world’s best-known and best loved companies. Working at Starbucks is a lot like working with your friends! When you work here, you’re not an “employee” – we call ourselves “partners” because we believe in shared common goals and mutual success. Our partners are our most valuable resource.

Connect with Something Bigger

Our story began in 1971. Back then we were a roaster and retailer of whole bean and ground coffee, tea and spices with a single store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market.

Today, we are privileged to connect with millions of customers every day with exceptional products and more than 28,000 retail stores in 76 countries.

  • 2001 - We introduced ethical coffeesourcing guidelines developed in partnership with Conservation International.

  • 2003 - We opened the Amsterdam roasting plant, the first outside the US.

  • 2006 - We launched the industry’s first paper beverage cup containing postconsumer recycled fibre, saving more than 75,000 trees each year.

  • 2018 - We enter Milan, Italy, our 24th Market in EMEA and the home of our first Reserve Roastery in Europe.

Our Responsibility

Since the day we opened our first café in 1971, we have been doing our best to gain the trust and respect of our guests, partners (employees) and the local community. How? We act wisely and do what is good for our planet and for each of us.
